2nd Grade

Stephanie Babbitt   Room 3

Hi Hawk families!   I am looking forward to another year at San Tan Heights Elementary!  I enjoy teaching and I look forward to getting to know my students.  I am married and have one daughter.  I also live with my fur babies, my Shih-Tzu dog Chloe and cat Jasmine.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business and then went on to get my post-baccalaureate in Elementary Education from Ottawa University.  This is my fifth year teaching at San Tan Heights Elementary.  I want my students to develop a love for learning.  I want them to be engaged in their learning, feel supported and have fun along the way.  I also enjoy getting to know my students parents and being partners in their child’s learning.

My name is Donna Dempsey. I believe that we will have a fun-filled educational year with respect, courtesy, and excellent citizenship. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago and now reside in Queen Creek with my husband and son. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, sewing, going to the movies, and hanging out with my family. I have experience teaching multiple age groups for the last 10 years I have been a substitute teacher, taught 6th and most recently 2nd grade; before that I taught Pre-school and Kindergarten at a private daycare for 15 years. I earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education in 2010. I look forward to sharing an unforgettable year your child with many learning opportunities.
