My name is Marie Walker, I presently teach 3rd grade at San Tan Heights K-8. This will be my second year as a teacher in the Florence School District and I am pleased to be a Hawk and back in education. Many years ago I worked for a small school district in Kansas, my home state, as a Paraprofessional, Administrative Assistant, and Cheerleading coach for 8 years while raising a family and in pursuit of a degree in elementary education. My career path changed and I went into the corporate utility and then aviation world. During my time there I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Baker University, a duel Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development from Webster University and a Master in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from UOP. Another career change returned me to my first dream and desired field of education. I am enrolled at Grand Canyon University and am in the Master of Elementary Education program. I am working towards acceptance into the AZ Intern Certification program as well.
