My name is Sarah Genise and this is my fourth year at San Tan Heights. I taught 5th grade for two years before switching to 6th grade Science and Social Studies. This year I am back in 5th grade and I am loving every minute of it. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and I will be graduating with my Master’s in Special Education in February from Grand Canyon University. Every individual learns in a different way and I make it my mission to understand and provide every opportunity for my students to succeed. I grew up on the east coast but have since fallen in love with the desert; I consider Arizona my home. I enjoy being active through hiking, rock climbing, biking, and backpacking. I have traveled quite a bit and use my experiences to teach my kids about different cultures and traditions around the world. Every year is a new experience and I am excited to see what this year holds!
My name is Michelle Kays and I have been structuring and educating students for over 25 years in and outside the classroom. I am from Texas and moved to Arizona twelve years ago. I have three handsome sons and have been married for thirty years.
I am a staff member at San Tan Heights Elementary teaching 5th grade and this is my first year working for Florence Unified School District.
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2016-2017 school year!
My name is Ms. Schroeder. I am very excited about this school year! I love kids! I feel that they learn more when it is fun. I try to make it as fun as possible. I enjoy learning from the kids also. They have a lot to offer and have wonderful imaginations. I have a Master of Education degree from Arizona State University. I am also the proud mother of an 11th grader. I am originally from Germany, but moved to the United States when I was young. I love to read, go swimming, and spend time with my son.
